1700's:  reflect the diverse and elaborate fashion trends of the 18th century, ranging from the extravagant court styles of France to the more practical attire of colonial America. Women's fashion was defined by structured gowns with wide pannier skirts, ornate bodices, and intricate detailing such as lace, embroidery, and ribbons. Popular styles included the lavish Robe à la Française, with flowing pleats at the back, and the more fitted Robe à l'Anglaise. Accessories like powdered wigs, feathered hats, gloves, and fans completed the aristocratic look.  Men’s fashion featured knee-length coats, waistcoats, and breeches, often made from luxurious fabrics like brocade, silk, and velvet. Ruffled shirts with lace cuffs, cravats, and stockings were essential elements, while wigs and tricorne hats added a distinguished touch. Military and colonial styles were simpler, with long frock coats and practical waistcoats suited for daily life. Whether representing the grandeur of Versailles or the resilience of early American settlers, 1700s costumes showcase the elegance and diversity of 18th-century fashion.

EARLY 1800's AND REGENCY: These costumes are inspired by the elegant and refined fashion of the early 19th century, particularly from 1811 to 1820, during the British Regency era. Women's attire typically includes high-waisted empire-line gowns made from lightweight fabrics like muslin, silk, and cotton. These dresses often feature delicate embellishments such as lace, embroidery, or ribbons, with puffed sleeves, square or scooped necklines, and flowing skirts that create a graceful silhouette. Accessories like bonnets, gloves, shawls, and reticules (small handbags) complete the look.  Men’s Regency fashion is characterized by tailored coats with high collars, waistcoats, cravats, and breeches or trousers. Dark, fitted tailcoats were worn over lighter-colored waistcoats and shirts with ruffled or high-necked collars. Accessories such as top hats, gloves, and canes added to the distinguished appearance. The overall aesthetic of Regency fashion reflects the shift toward a more natural and understated elegance, in contrast to the elaborate styles of the 18th century.
